We are an educational facility for equines and riders with a focus on spine based movement and horse psychology. We are also an equine healing facility utilizing movement with an integrated and holistic approach to the nervous system.  In addition, we are a source of state-of-the-art equine products that are chosen ForTheHorse!

Our team of passionate professionals provide a truly holistic and natural approach ForTheHorse!  The unique combination of Connected Riding concepts and Natural Horsemanship principles compliment our comprehensive Barefoot Program, Equine Bodywork and complete Holistic Horse Management.  Proven Classical Dressage training methods meld with our approach to horse education to create happy horses!

Many of the horses living at the farm have been rescued, then rehabilitated back to health and well being, re-educated, and then given a positive purpose in life.  At present there are 19 horses at the farm; some are riding/performance horses, some are for sale, some are retired and some are in rehabilitation.  All are barefoot.  This active laboratory of learning is exciting, on the bleeding edge of consideration for the horses around the world.

founder - Christine Adderson

Christine Adderson has devoted her life to attaining profound understanding and skills with human and equine movement.  As a steward of all life in her care, she strives to consider each as an individual, in all facets of the physical, mental, energetic and spiritual.  Her specialty is horses and humans dancing together!!

Christine's perspective comes from experience as a professional dancer (an elite athlete training and performing for 12 hours a day), instruction of Natural Horsemanship to students in many countries (where dealing with so many horses taught her about horse psychology), an immersion in the upbringing and formal education of her three children from which developed the knowledge of intuition and connection, training as an Advanced Certified Clinician of Connected Riding®, and, of course, many years of experience and careful observation of the teachings from the horses themselves.

As an educator, Christine has taught people and horses around the world as well as written numerous articles for many major equine publications.  As a trainer/healer, she has educated many horses to high levels of performance and rehabilitated "unwanted" horses back to health and complete functionality in mind, body and spirit.  Her work requires a deep affection for the horse, understanding of human and equine anatomy and integrated movement, sensitivity, humility and devotion.

"As a young professional dancer I was inspired with the passion and physical power of the human being in motion.  I am now even more inspired by the wondrous equine athlete in motion and their connection with the human, in dance."

Scott Adderson

On Old Spoke

All around Joe... and great guy.  ForTheHorse provides Scott the opportunity to get physical in a world that has way too much sitting.  He is a computer programmer/analyst by trade and this is the perfect diversion.  On the farm, he starts in the spring by  working on all the haying equipment, tractors, balers, cutters and rakes, then moves on to setting up construction projects like horse shelters, compost stations, and others. Then summer comes and we cut the hay, rake and bale and then store over 1500 bales in the horse shelter...more building, setting up water systems and irrigating (a daily activity) grooming the arenas, cutting grass and re-seeding pastures.  Once fall comes all the preparation for winter is upon us and that is never ending - always seems there is just one more thing to do; collecting wood, setting up water systems to stop from  freezing and preparing the arena for a good base.  One thing, he never gets bored around here.  It's a great place to be, fresh air, space and the great outdoors.  What else would you want to do in life.. and to top it off, the horses are a blast.
