1.  ForTheHorse Path to Lightness Education for Horse and Rider

ForTheHorse Path to Lightness Education is individually tailored to the participants needs with a focus on both rider and horse, for a complete, holistic approach to your riding education.

Clinics:

You may choose to study different themes; riding, in hand and ground work, or liberty.  In each theme of study movement appropriate skills are given to create awareness and give you the confidence to take home and apply the information.   All training with the horse is in consideration and respect of these magnificent creatures, our horses.

You may bring your horse or we have several horses of different levels to help you to learn at your pace.

The format for the Path to Lightness clinics will be as follows for both days.  Each day will start with a theory/hands on/off horses session.  This will be followed by group riding lessons to practice the theory.  After lunch (included in the clinic fee) the afternoon will consist of a private lesson for each rider.  Each rider will ride/work in hand their horse twice a day.

"For me, I did buy a rebounder and am enjoying exercising on it, focusing on balance and independent upper body and relaxing biceps. As for my horse, I am getting a more forward softer trot and canter, and for that matter the walk is more relaxed too. The different contact is really helping me stay soft with my inside hand and stops me from being too busy with my hands.  My horse is so grateful!

Thanks again for a really interesting and fun weekend."

ForTheHorse provides a complete education for your horse from starting a horse under saddle to jumping to high school dressage.  Our system encompasses many natural horsemanship techniques for the young horse which are layered upon by bodywork techniques to keep horses happy and pain free during the initial stages of their education.

Time proven concepts and techniques from the Philippe Karl School of Legerete are used to educate your horses mouth to the riders hand and to teach aids for the first time or to fill in the holes that are present with your horses previous education.

Liberty and Ground Work (In Hand) is a large component of your horses education and movement education to ensure a very clear path of communication and an education that is full proof from one rider to another.
